The first ascent of the route "Lefkos peirasmos" (III+ 4 M3+ A1, 240m) was realized on 20/3/2000 by D. Mpakalis - C. Belogiannis. It is a characteristic line on the right of the route "Pilie tis vrohis". Another effort had been made earlier by D. Mpakalis - F. Pitta - A. Grapsas, who managed to climb up to R4.
The ice conditions during both these efforts were phenomenal with regard to the usual Greek reality until then. Return is possible by the permanent anchors R7 - R6 - R5 - R4 - R3 as well as by a sling tied on a rock knob between anchors R2 and R1, on the right side of the route. In order to climb the route, pitons, nuts, friends, carabiners, slings and ice screws are required.
A week later, on 25/3/2000, K. Tsoulkas and K. Gabriel realized the first repetition of the route.
The route could be characterized as one of the most beautiful ice lines in Greece, with consistent and homogeneous level of difficulty that makes it unique. The seriousness of the route is reinforced by the run-outs and the relatively few natural protection placements.
