The first ascent of the route “Amfiktyonia” (VII+, 195m) was realized on Winder 2022 by G. Korodimos - F. Dimopoulos - L. Rentifis.
The line follows the very characteristic dihedral located in the middle of the crag.
This is the first route on the crag, while right next to it there is an earlier attempt by L. Anestis - Chr. Daniil. The first four ropes were equipped from below while the last two from above. The bolts were donated by EOS Amfissas, while G. Milias helped by lending his drill.
The first repetition of the route took place on 22/11/2023 by L. Anestis - N. Kasounis - G. Korodimos while a few days later, on 26/11/2023, the second repetition took place by K. Mougolias - E. Karachalios and N. Daris - F. Dimopoulos.
Necessary equipment for repeating the route, in addition to quickdraws, are a series of nuts and a series of friends (up to the Camalot #2) to secure a few sections between the bolts. Nevertheless, if a climber feels comfortable moving in unsecured sections, it can be done without the use of nuts and friends. If the last pitch is made in one piece, 19 quickdraws are needed, otherwise, if it is made in two parts, 12-13 quickdraws are enough. The route’s belays are equipped with bolts but not rings, so rappelling is not recommended.
The crag is located directly below Delphi and the exit of the route takes us almost inside the village, so to access it we can either go by car to the base and after completion return on foot to pick it up, or leave the car in Delphi and do the opposite. Access by car is via a dirt road that starts from the village of Chrissos and, moving east, passes under the crag (2.4 km distance, 8 min by car). The descent on foot from Delphi is made again by a dirt road that passes just outside of Chrissos (7km distance, 1h and 30min on foot).
