The first ascent of the route "Tsekouri" (V+, 375m) was realized on 27-28/9/1961 by P. Iosidis - D. Tsantilis, in 16h, and constitutes today one of the most classic routes of the Hellenic mountains.
The line, which is of a 300m elevation and mediocre quality rock, follows the northern ridge of Gamila.
The route is protected with only 3 - 4 pitons and the belays are not equipped. Necessary equipment for climbing "Tsekouri" is a set of nuts, friends, pitons, 5 - 6 carabiners, 8 - 10 quickdraws and slings. The time required for this ascent is approximately 8h.
A variation of the route (V+, 450m) was realized on 31/8/1965 by G. Michailidis - D. Demestihas, in 11h, by climbing the ridge by its northwest side.
The first winter climbing of the route (III 4 M4) was realized on 24/3/2013 by A. Karapetakos - G. Karnakis - K. Karnakis.
