The first ascent of the route “Loss of support” (IX-, 130m) was established on 21/9/1997 by A. Theodoropoulos - Th. Michailidis.
The line is located in the “Herod” section and starts between the “Herod” and “Agreement” routes.
This is a beautiful route, of high difficulty and well secured.
Its first repetition was realized on 28/2/1998 by G. Aligiannis - D. Stalikas, grading it VIII+.
The 1st pitch (VIII-, 8 hangers) starts on a very smooth slab (VIII-) with small holds and continues with good holds (VII) and beautiful movements until the end of the pitch.
The 2nd pitch (IX-, 8 hangers) is entirely negative, starts with small blocks on sharp rock and continues with long athletic movements (IX-).
The 3rd (III-) pitch is short and easy, without hangers, and leads to the ledge where the belay is located.
The 4th pitch (VII+, 8 hangers) is easier than the first two but equally beautiful, as it starts on a positive slab (VI+) and ends above a small roof (VII+).
The return is done with 3 rappels from the same route.
