The first ascent of the route “Epikindini isoropia” (III 2+ M4 A1, 550m) was realized on 7/1/2002 by Th. Hatzisirlis - A. Mposkos, under very low temperature (-15°C) and perfect snow - ice conditions.
To approach the route, one must get to the ski center, follow a circle course round the summit Kartalka and then descend to the canyon. The time required for the approach is 1,5hrs to 2hrs to the base of the crag, depending on how much familiar one is with the area.
As to the equipment, a few pitons, small nuts, friends and one ice screw shall be useful. On the contrary, no deadman or pickets are required.
The exit of the slab passes through a rather not very clear-sighted small dihedral. Bear in mind however that the pitons might not be visible from down. R11 and R12 are the only belays that are equipped with a bold each.
