Pangaio - Trikorfo

Pangaio is a relatively small mountain in eastern Macedonia, northwest of Kavala. In addition to its beautiful nature and history, the mountain also has some small crags. There one can find both summer and winter routes.

Access to the east crag of the mountain is from the Chatzigeorgiou refuge where we continue the road for about 1Km, there in an open area we leave the car. Right below the road passes a path that leads you to the crag in 30min. We should not follow the “04” sign that leads to the ridge. The road to the Chatzigeorgiou refuge starts from the village of Akrovouni (Eleftheroupoli). It is asphalt for most of it, and only 6Km is a dirt road. Time 60min - 90 min to the refuge.
