Neraidalono is a peak which belongs to the central massif of Chelmos and along with Neraidorachi forms the valley of the Waters of Styx. The main summit of Neraidalono (2253m) is situated to the west of the formation, which extends towards the northeast, terminating at the rocky ridge of Aetorachi. The northern aspect of Neraidalono presents mountaineering interest during the winter months.
Aetorachi begins near the Mesorrougi - Solos waterfall, at an elevation of 1150m in the Krathis valley. It develops directly opposite Neraidorachi, spanning 3km, and reaches the summit of Neraidalono via an impressive tower. Aetorachi is separated from the eastern face of Neraidorachi to the northwest by the Waters of Styx, while between Aetorachi and the Krathis massif to the northeast runs the Lykorema ravine. Because of its northern orientation, the lower elevations are covered by dense fir forest, while in the alpine zone erosion creates significant exposure. Aetorachi is also the unofficial name of the first imposing summit of the ridge (1916 m), which was climbed in winter conditions in 2017 by G. Karnakis and G. Papadoulis.
Access to the base of Aetorachi is possible through the village of Peristera in the valley of Krathis, following the marked trail for the Waters of Styx and then hiking independently parallel to the ravine.
The return from Aetorachi is demanding, partly because of the terrain. It requires an exposed traverse, followed by the descent of a couloir with a slope of up to 50° to rejoin the marked trail of the Waters of Styx, which leads back to the starting point at the base of Aetorachi (Kastraki area).
